Job summary

Ferroglobe PLC in Bridgeport, Alabama, is seeking a Facility Buyer who will procure goods and services essential to the plant’s operations, drive cost savings, and support CapEx projects with Engineering and Project Management teams.

You will lead end-to-end procurement for routine needs and capital projects, negotiate favorable terms, manage supplier relationships, and optimize storeroom inventory to improve cash flow while ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of procurement or purchasing experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong negotiation, planning, and coordination skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process compliance.
• Experience with SAP and procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost savings and value through supplier consolidation and contract negotiations for facility-related goods and services.
• Support CapEx projects by sourcing equipment, contractors, and services for plant expansions.
• Lead end-to-end procurement for routine facility needs and capital projects (RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, contracts).
• Monitor cost savings and procurement milestones; report to stakeholders.
• Develop supplier relationships and conduct supplier audits and scorecards.
