Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to lead full lifecycle management of capital projects, renovations, and major repairs across the College.

You will oversee all phases from initial visioning and programming through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, warranty and closeout, ensuring projects finish on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architectural, Engineering discipline or a related field
• Four (4) years of directly related experience to construction project management.

Responsibilities

• Assumes full accountability for the successful delivery of construction, renovation, and maintenance projects, from concept through occupancy and warranty.
• Leads and manages all aspects of project scheduling, design reviews and approvals, construction administration, and selection/installation of equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
• Serves as the authoritative point of contact for architects, engineers, contractors, and college stakeholders, resolving complex issues, negotiating solutions, and ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.
• Leads feasibility studies, cost estimates, and constructability reviews, providing direction that optimizes performance, efficiency, quality, and long‑term value.
• Administers contracts, pay applications, and change orders; leads negotiations to safeguard the College’s financial and operational interests.
