Qualifications

• Licensure as a professional architect or engineer is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
• Three years of professional experience in facility planning, capital project development, feasibility studies, architectural design, engineering design, or related work involving public buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility and space planning, evaluating needs, utilization, and future growth for state agencies.
• Develop project scopes, preliminary budgets, and planning recommendations for capital projects.
• Support SPWD CIP by preparing recommendations, scopes, budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate with A/E consultants and regulatory officials on planning studies and design concepts.
• Maintain planning records and ensure compliance with state laws and building codes.
• Collaborate with agency representatives and stakeholders to translate needs into actionable planning documents.
