Job summary

Guilford County Government seeks a seasoned project manager to oversee capital-improvement initiatives for county facilities. The role covers planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating architectural, engineering, and construction teams to deliver projects from inception to completion.

You will lead multi-disciplinary efforts, manage resources, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across projects up to several million dollars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture/construction management and four years of progressively responsible project management experience.
• OR a two year degree in engineering/architecture/construction management and six years of progressively responsible project management experience.
• OR a high school diploma or GED and eight years of progressively responsible project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform full project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
• Lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional integration and multiple disciplines.
• Develop action plans and estimate resources (management, labor, materials, time).
• Develop and execute change management strategy and communication plans for project scope and stakeholders.
• Analyze, design, and develop engineering systems and equipment for construction projects.
• Manage projects up to $5 million and participate in larger projects.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and construction representatives.
