Job summary

Sanmina Fremont is seeking a Fabrication Operations Director to lead manufacturing and production activities for sheet metal fabrication, tubular frames and final assembly. This role focuses on optimizing shop floor processes, ensuring product quality, meeting production schedules, and maintaining a safe workplace.

You will drive Lean initiatives, manage a large manufacturing team, and collaborate with Engineering, Materials Planning, Purchasing and Logistics to optimize throughput and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing fabrication with 8+ years in a management/senior supervisory role.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or custom metal manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production across multiple departments to meet on-time delivery targets.
• Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Waste Reduction).
• Monitor OEE, scrap rate and labor utilization; take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Engineering for smooth product introductions (NPI) and resolve issues.
