Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising or other business-related field.
• 3 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
• Ability to develop communications strategies and effectively communicate recommendations.
• Strong content creation and media relations skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of proactive and reactive external communications tactics and execute with team.
• Support leadership in recommending recognition opportunities to reinforce Advocate Health’s leadership.
• Collaborate to create communications plans that support goals and protect reputation.
• Track trends and prepare executive summaries and recommended responses.
• Identify and draft content including news releases, blogs, talking points, and thought leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with trade reporters and media outlets to secure earned coverage.
• Monitor media coverage and provide reports to leadership.
• Support priority projects and cross-functional communications plans.
• Work cross-functionally to promote Advocate Health and its brands.
