Elior North America is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join the Constellation Culinary Group team in Newark, NJ. Plan, direct, and coordinate catered events, selecting menus, scheduling staff, arranging facilities/equipment, and communicating client needs to support the Senior Director of Sales.

This role works on-site at a cultural center with multiple F&B operations; you will develop catering accounts and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction before, during, and after

Competenze

• 2 years catering/food-beverage and/or administrative/event experience.
• Very organized.
• Able to work independently and make the right decisions for the business.
• Basic PC knowledge and comprehension (Word & Excel).
• Basic math knowledge and comprehension (fractions, percentages).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent staff management skills.

Mansioni

• Ensure all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and detailed.
• Review event floorplans, day-of supervisor packets, pack lists and rental equipment for accuracy.
• Communicate SCG procedures and expectations to event staff on-site; prepare day-of supervisor packet.
• Assist in setup and execution of events.
• Ensure event rentals have scheduled deliveries/pickups aligned with venue/manager schedules.
• Maintain calendar of events in Outlook and attend meetings.
• Coordinate with sales, culinary and booking staff on menus and client needs.
• Process payments and deposits for contracted events and monitor AR reports for discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot on the fly and make prudent quick judgments.
• Manage staff and discipline as needed.
• Follow up with photographers for post-event photos.
• Act as first point of contact for general leads and gather detailed info.
• Process event closeouts the day after each event.
• Send nightly event reminders to internal staff.
