Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a finance-focused estimator to lead cost and price development across the full program lifecycle. You will work from requirements through design, build, and support stages, shaping competitive proposals and substantiating estimates with rigor.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or higher, 3+ years in finance-related roles, and deep Excel expertise (VLOOKUPs, pivots, charts).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field.
• 3+ years in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, or Contracts.
• 3+ years of experience developing financial estimates.
• 3+ years of Excel with formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and linking worksheets.
• Experience with US Government Cost Accounting Standards and FAR.
• Proven ability to lead projects with minimal supervision and present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates and prices from requirements through design, build, and support stages.
• Lead estimating and pricing strategies using innovative techniques.
• Guide proposals, evaluate complex requests, substantiate estimates and pricing.
• Lead analysis and provide pricing/estimating recommendations (risk, financial, etc.).
• Coordinate with proposal teams and cost owners to basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates.
• Provide fact-finding, negotiation, and audit support for cost proposals.
• Prepare and brief senior leader presentations.
• Identify and implement process/tools changes to improve estimating accuracy.
• Support compliance activities.
