Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Production Planner for an onsite contract role in Austin, TX. You will ensure material readiness, schedule orders, and maintain accurate ERP data to support on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Procurement, balancing capacity, and communicating schedule risks to Sales and Customer Service. Experience with ERP and advanced scheduling tools is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with advanced scheduling tools, MES, LIMS, PowerBI, SQL or analytics platforms.
• Lean, Six Sigma, CI methodologies, or Kaizen practices familiarity.
• Exposure to complex manufacturing environments with high-mix/low-volume products.

Responsibilities

• Review ERP shortage and exception reports to identify material constraints affecting orders.
• Set realistic start and completion dates by checking component lead times and updating schedules.
• Allocate materials across jobs, escalate tradeoffs when needed.
• Collaborate with Procurement to expedite or substitute components for constrained jobs.
