Job summary

The Community Solution is seeking a Director of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management to provide enterprise‑level governance, coordination, and strategic guidance for the System’s risk and compliance framework. You will develop and maintain the Systemwide ERM program and reporting practices to support board oversight and executive decision making.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of higher education governance, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and federal financial aid requirements.
• Demonstrated success advising executive leadership and presenting complex risk and governance matters.
• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders in matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Systemwide ERM framework, methodologies, tools, and reporting standards.
• Guide institutions in risk assessments and risk registers using enterprise methodologies.
• Aggregate and analyze institutional risk information to maintain the System’s enterprise risk profile.
• Elevate cross-cutting, systemic, and emerging risks for executive leadership or Board review.
• Coordinate risk appetite and risk tolerance discussions with leadership and the Board.
• Lead the System Risk and Compliance Committee and cross-functional governance bodies.
• Create enterprise dashboards and KRIs for governance and decision making.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide strategic regulatory briefings and impact assessments.
• Support Board education and periodic reviews of the enterprise risk profile.
• Establish risk assessment methodologies and reporting practices across the System.
