Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Environmental Program Manager (EPM) to support the Chewy Fulfillment Network. The EPM will develop and align environmental standards and policies to ensure regulatory compliance and provide guidance for fulfillment operations and construction teams.

The role includes site-level inspections, audits, and collaboration with contractors, consultants, and internal partners. You will establish environmental metrics, lead programs across local, state, and federal regulations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience as environmental resource, program specialist, or program manager.
• Experience with regulatory assessments, air permit evaluations, NPDES and POTW, and waste management.
• Broad knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Chewy policy.
• Develop strategic programs integrating with engineering, construction, and operations.
• Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
• Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and new process introductions.
• Oversee contractor and team work to meet regulatory standards.
• Develop environmental metrics to monitor performance.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits for continuous improvement.
• Represent Chewy with government agencies and internal partners.
• Submit time-critical reports to governmental agencies and complete corrective actions.
