Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership, governance, and direction for the Solutions Architecture team in Pittsburgh. The role spans enterprise architecture activities guiding a portfolio of complex solutions across systems, applications, and shared services.

You will mentor other architects, collaborate with product owners and managers to maintain an architectural runway and roadmap, evaluate options, and drive governance and best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading enterprise architecture initiatives in a complex environment.
• documented experience transforming business needs into scalable solutions.
• ability to govern architecture standards and ensure governance compliance.
• experience communicating with senior stakeholders and product teams.
• familiarity with modeling languages and concept proofs.

Responsibilities

• Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior leadership and planning teams.
• Plans technical dependencies across a portfolio within a primary domain.
• Provides technical consultant expertise to turn business change into solutions.
• Collaborates with Platform/Business Architecture to align design with standards.
• Drives reference architecture, technology standards, patterns, and decision frameworks.
• Leads proof of concepts and prototypes with development teams.
• Evaluates technologies and mitigates risks early in development.
• Presents solutions to product/technology leaders and stakeholders.
