Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Director of Enterprise Risk Management to design, execute, and continuously improve the organization's ERM framework. You will lead risk identification, assessment, and reporting while partnering with executives and governance bodies to embed risk thinking into strategy and capital decisions.

The role requires a strong background in risk management, leadership, and regulatory knowledge, with responsibilities spanning ORSA, risk reporting, and governance interactions.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a risk management, finance or business administration
• 10 years of experience in risk management and consulting or public accounting
• 5 years leadership experience
• CRM, CRMA, ARM or CPA
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of enterprise risk management and support throughout the organization
• Promote organization-wide understanding of enterprise risks and risk management strategies
• Lead the ORSA process including enterprise risk assessment, stress testing, and annual ORSA report
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, risk committees, and the Board
• Develop practical, timely business solutions in collaboration with management
• Monitor risk appetite metrics and emerging risks for reporting to Board
• Coordinate periodic reviews of risk appetite statements and policies
• Monitor regulatory, industry, and healthcare trends for potential impacts
• Promote a strong risk culture through education and communication
• Lead corporate insurance and captive management programs to manage insurance risks
