Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Director, Enterprise Risk Management to lead the design, execution, and ongoing improvement of our ERM framework. You will identify and assess enterprise risks, coordinate with executives and boards, and embed risk thinking into strategy and operations.

Responsibilities include directing ORSA, producing risk reports, and promoting a strong risk culture across the organization. Hybrid work options and competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance or business administration.
• 10 years of experience in risk management and consulting or public accounting.
• 5 years of leadership experience.
• CRM, CRMA, ARM or CPA certification.
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of enterprise risk management and support to achieve objectives.
• Promote organization-wide understanding of enterprise risks and risk strategies.
• Lead ORSA process, including risk assessment, stress testing, and annual report.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and presentations for leadership and boards.
• Monitor risk appetite metrics and emerging risks, reporting to management and Board.
• Coordinate reviews of risk appetite statements and governing practices.
• Monitor regulatory, industry, and healthcare trends for impacts.
• Promote risk culture through education and consultation.
• Lead corporate insurance and captive management programs.
