Job summary

Regions Bank is recruiting for an Enterprise Compliance and Operational Risk Analyst in Birmingham, AL. The role strengthens Regions’ second line of defense by implementing the risk management framework and policy program across the organization.

You will work with first-line teams to identify, measure and monitor risks while maintaining regulatory compliance. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus 3 years in risk, audit, or related oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in risk, audit, or related oversight.
• 3 years of experience in risk, audit, or related oversight function.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end risk assessment processes including planning, scoping, data collection, analysis, documentation and reporting.
• Provide independent challenge to risk assessments, methodologies and conclusions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies and biases in risk evaluations and recommend improvements.
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to validate risk ratings and ensure evidence-based decisions.
• Partner with risk assessors to guide completion of assessments ensuring adherence to standards and timelines.
• Support risk frameworks, methodologies and tools with subject matter expertise.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails to support governance and regulatory review.
• Recommend enhancements to risk assessment processes, tools and templates.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support business process mapping initiatives and related reporting.
