Job summary

Sonic Automotive, a Fortune 500 automotive retailer, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs within the Enterprise PMO. You will govern project lifecycles, drive governance processes, and deliver executive-level visibility across three business segments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with sponsors, product owners, and teams to define objectives, manage risks, and ensure successful outcomes with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years in project management, including program-level experience.
• PMP certification required.
• Proven leadership, excellent communication, and ability to influence across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex cross-functional projects.
• Manage all project lifecycle phases using EPMO standards to ensure on-time, in-scope, high-quality results.
• Develop executive-facing communications, dashboards, and status reports showing health, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Partner with sponsors, leaders, product owners, and teams to define objectives, scope, success metrics, and outcomes.
• Establish project plans, schedules, communication plans, and governance documentation; mitigate risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Facilitate governance meetings, status updates, and steering committee sessions; drive alignment and decision-making.
