Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an Engineering Workforce Planning & Operations Leader to guide headcount planning, demand and capacity modeling, and workforce analytics across the Gas Power Engineering organization.

This role interfaces with HR, Finance, FP&A and senior engineering leaders to align staffing with business priorities and cost targets. This high-visibility role partners with HR, Finance, FP&A and senior engineering leaders to translate data into actionable insights, drive operating cadence,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or another STEM-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operations, workforce planning, analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead headcount planning and ownership of workforce targets to align with budget and operations.
• Drive demand and capacity modeling to support workforce allocation and hiring decisions.
• Partner with HR, Finance, FP&A and engineering leaders to establish a cadence for workforce planning.
• Develop and implement standardized processes for headcount reviews and governance.
• Own workforce dashboards and reporting, delivering insights and trend analysis for decisions.
• Analyze workforce data to identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Support quarterly reviews, annual planning, budget development, and long-range forecasting.
• Drive data consistency and establish a single source of truth for workforce planning.
• Prepare audience-appropriate presentations translating data into business insights.
• Lead communication around headcount changes and workforce strategies.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operations to optimize workforce allocation for a high-performing engineering org.
