Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota seeks an Engagement Manager to lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of the One Xcel Energy Way Operating System within the assigned business area and support functions. You will coach teams through defining and implementing technical and process solutions.

Responsibilities include leading standardization efforts, facilitating improvements, reporting progress to leadership, and managing project budgets and savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years related business/industry experience.
• Experience facilitating or consulting on improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Change management or program/project management experience.
• Must build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including executive leadership.
• Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences and analyze ambiguous business scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly in a diverse, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and maintenance of the Management Requirements and 4 Plays: Visualization, Performance Reviews, Problem-Solving, and Standardization.
• Coach teams and act as liaison between business area leadership, shared services, and One Way office.
• Communicate and report on status of improvements; build collaborative relationships across levels.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma/CI methods to deliver improvements.
• Support process metrics and influence accountability across process streams.
• Provide financial management of projects including budgeting, forecasting, and savings implications.
