Job summary

PPC (Public Power Corporation) in Attica seeks an Energy Market Analytics & Modelling Specialist to monitor electricity markets, analyze market data, and support medium-term planning with robust models.

The ideal candidate holds a engineering/math degree, 5+ years in energy market analysis, and strong knowledge of DAM, IDM, Balancing, and Greek market dynamics. You will calibrate models, run simulations (PLEXOS, LTSx), and present findings to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics-Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Physical Sciences.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an additional qualification.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in the Energy sector, with focus on energy market analysis/modelling.
• Strong knowledge of the Greek wholesale electricity market (DAM, IDM, Balancing) and regional market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitors electricity markets, analyzes market data and fundamentals, and evaluates drivers of change.
• Collects, validates, organises data across energy markets and the Group’s portfolio.
• Calibrates and updates models; runs energy market simulations and forecasts.
• Conducts ad-hoc analyses, sensitivity studies, and scenario assessments.
• Prepares high-level reports and presents insights to Management for medium-term planning.
