Job summary

Medline Industries, LP seeks an Employment Counsel to partner with HR and business leaders to shape the employee experience through practical legal guidance in a hybrid Northfield, IL setting.

You will advise on recruiting, performance, discipline, leaves, wage and hour, covenants, and terminations; manage investigations and outside counsel; draft agreements and policies; stay current on developments; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active state bar membership.
• At least four years of employment law counsel experience.
• Experience advising senior leaders on complex matters.
• Ability to work across teams and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and business leaders on recruiting, hiring, performance, discipline and terminations.
• Partner with employee relations on investigations and resolutions.
• Identify employment law risks and propose practical solutions.
• Manage outside counsel and shape strategy for litigation and disputes.
• Draft employment agreements, policies, communications, and training materials.
• Stay current on developments and ensure compliant practices.
• Deliver employment law training to HR, managers, and employees.
