Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada is seeking a full-time Job Developer for our Subsidized Employment Program in Mather, California. You will build and maintain relationships with local employers to create sustainable pipelines of SEP opportunities for program participants while aligning with employer needs.

Responsibilities include attending networking events, managing employer contracts and job postings, and collaborating with VOA colleagues to promote placement

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED; prefer associate or bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with business communities in recruiting or related marketing.
• Strong skills in outreach, relationship development, and event/networking activities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with local employers to develop and maintain relationships for SEP.
• Secure subsidized employment opportunities for SEP participants.
• Attend local networking events and build partnerships with chambers, business groups, and NGOs.
• Collect and manage employer documentation (W-9, contracts, job descriptions, wages).
• Create processes to expand SEP footprint and pipeline with VOA partners.
• Collaborate with VOA programs and workforce partners on events and employer spotlights.
