Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to provide day-to-day support to the Employee Relations team, monitoring intake channels, handling routine inquiries, coordinating documentation and logistics, and supporting leave and accommodation processes.

You will help triage matters and ensure timely, confidential handling in collaboration with HRBPs, Legal, and leaders. The role emphasizes building partnerships, maintaining case records, and contributing to ER tools and process

Qualifications

BA or equivalent degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field.
3-5 years progressive experience in HR, preferably in employee relations or equivalent experience.
Excellent knowledge of U.S. employment legislation, trends & practices.

Responsibilities

Serve as first point of contact for routine employee relations inquiries; triage and coordinate follow-up.
Assist with routine Employee Relations matters in support of Sr. ERC staff.
Serve as first contact for interactive workplace accommodations and sensitive leave/disability matters.
Document and track case activity; respond to leader inquiries and escalate as needed.
Ensure communications and documentation are well written and professional.
