Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to support the centralized ER team, coordinating intake, documentation, and case activity while ensuring compliant, timely responses to leaders and staff.

The role supports leave management, accommodations, and disability processes, works with Legal and Compliance, and focuses on delivering high-quality client experiences across a nationwide context.

Qualifications

• BA or equivalent degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive HR experience, preferably in employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, collaborative with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee relations inquiries.
• Coordinate documentation and case management for ER matters.
• Support leave, accommodations, and disability processes.
• Ensure timely, confidential handling of employee information.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal and Compliance to resolve matters.
