Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Employee Relations Partner in Chicago, IL. You will provide consultation to leaders and staff on employee relations and collaborate with Legal and Compliance to improve policies and processes.

The role focuses on investigations, policy enforcement, and coaching leaders to enhance engagement and retention. A strong HR background and knowledge of EEO laws are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
• Five years of HR Employee Relations/Consulting experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of HR principles and EEO laws required.
• Strong problem solving, investigative and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine employee relations inquiries and policy questions.
• Act as intake/liaison for employee issues and investigations.
• Ensure policies and laws are applied consistently across the organization.
• Review disciplinary actions for factual accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct workplace investigations (harassment, hostile environment, etc.).
• Coach leaders to improve engagement and retention.
• Serve as liaison for employee feedback to leadership.
• Respond to unemployment and regulatory claims.
• Collaborate with legal, Compliance, and People Team Centers of Excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.
