Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a skilled Employee Relations professional to deliver high-quality ER solutions across assigned business lines and regions. You will counsel managers and employees on conduct, performance, and policy interpretation, and support investigations and regulatory matters to promote a fair, compliant work environment.

Under supervision, you will administer performance expectations, corrective action, and termination procedures, and contribute to enterprise ER initiatives through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 3+ years HR experience, or 5 years progressive HR work experience in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and email tools.
• Previous internal investigations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality HR relations solutions to assigned business lines or geographies.
• Provide guidance on performance expectations, corrective action, and termination processes.
• Counsel managers and employees on conduct, performance, and policy interpretation.
• Participate in EEOC/Human Rights/Wage and Hour regulatory matters and investigations.
• Develop and deliver trainings on HR policies, harassment, legal issues, and performance management.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure enterprise ER perspective.
