Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Dublin, OH is seeking a professional to manage employee benefits accounts and serve as the day-to-day contact for clients. The role involves acting as the liaison between clients and carriers, providing education on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and health care reform, and setting up new group contracts.

The candidate should have 2+ years in employee benefits, with Accident & Health license required or obtainable within three months.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in employee benefits industry; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Accident & Health license required or must obtain within 3 months.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
• Educate, advise and aid clients on Compliance topics including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
• Set up new group insurance contracts for existing clients or new clients.
• Manage the renewal process including the preparation of appropriate contractual changes.
• Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling and cost reduction opportunities.
• Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts.
• Regular client contact and in-person attendance at client meetings as needed.
• Conduct on-site meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans.
• May be responsible for the marketing and placement of new benefit products.
• Prepare client application for review
• Determine most appropriate carriers
• Analyze and compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings
• Make recommendations to clients
• Process all policy changes, endorsements and other requests as needed.
• Resolution support and oversight for client issues such as contract clarifications and billing.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.
• Special projects as needed.
