Job summary

City of Vancouver's Fire Department seeks an experienced Emergency Services Program Manager to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Fire Chief and executive leadership. You will help shape policies, readiness planning, and large-scale incident coordination to protect our community.

Qualifications

• Five years in public safety operations or emergency management.
• Experience coordinating across agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Fire Science, Criminal Justice, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate completion of a standards of coverage document to optimize resources.
• Develop and implement continuity of operations plan for major emergencies.
• Assist in development of operational manuals (e.g. High rise, HazMat, WUI, etc.).
• Coordinate information sharing with regional law enforcement for homeland security.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
