Job summary

AVANGRID is seeking a Program Manager - Emergency Operations in Augusta, ME to lead the development and execution of emergency management preparedness and planning across electric, natural gas, and hydro operations. The role focuses on pre-event planning, incident response, and post-event evaluation to ensure rapid and effective outages management.

The candidate will drive strategy, training, and continuous improvement, coordinating with senior management and external regulators to implement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 7 years relevant experience required.
Experience in Emergency Management, Emergency Planning, Managing Response and Operations, and/or Utility operations.
Experience with project management and budgets.
Strong ability to work collaboratively and contribute as a team member to develop emergency preparedness and planning.

Responsibilities

Drive strategy, continuous improvement, and execution of operational readiness activities.
Develop emergency management policies and procedures for preparedness.
Ensure internal alignment and training for emergency response.
Represent AVANGRID in emergency management with governmental/regulatory entities as needed.
Collaborate with external entities to build relationships and best practices.
Provide strategic direction on emergency management to senior leadership and set program objectives.
