Saab, Inc. invites applications for an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to shape strategic sourcing across North America and beyond, with emphasis on electronics commodities.

You will lead category strategies, supplier selections, and cost-reduction initiatives in a defense/security context. Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree with extensive experience in Sourcing or SCM, and possess strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master's, in Sourcing or SCM.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; leadership and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to improve quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win business by vetting and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze electronics trends.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT analyses.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan near and long-term needs.
• Create adaptable supply chains for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to assess capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for key suppliers.
• Support small business objectives and promote diverse supplier base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
