Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Category Management Professional to drive strategic procurement for electronic components in the US. You will lead regional purchasing strategy, align with stakeholders, and develop strong supplier relationships.

The role emphasizes data analytics, market intelligence, and negotiation of price and framework agreements while ensuring quality and logistics performance. This is an on-site position based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in category management or strategic procurement for electronic components.
Strong data analytical skills with experience in market intelligence and supplier management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI).
Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Drive and implement the regional electronic purchasing strategy in close alignment with stakeholders.
Drive market studies to develop onshore strategic partners and balance supplier pooling.
Identify and develop global and regional strategic suppliers to meet purchasing requirements.
Conduct strategic supplier meetings to enhance business relationships with key partners.
Manage price and framework agreements and oversee their implementation.
Support regional sourcing/RFQs projects with project buyers to ensure best commercial quality.
Drive regional tariff mitigation initiatives.
