Methode Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to source and purchase components, drive cost and delivery targets, and support product development.

The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and emphasizes supplier relationships, negotiation, and proactive problem solving across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in a related field of study.
• 3-7 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; electronics background desirable
• Experience in applying analytical skills to negotiate successfully with supplier
• Demonstrate ability to take the initiative in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Experience sourcing products in Asia a plus
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products as well as ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels inside and outside of the organization

The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $49,300 - $63,200.

• Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
