Giesecke+Devrient ePayments America, Inc. or Giesecke & Devrient GmbH is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to own the EHS strategy across STS, TCD and Veridos businesses in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires reporting to senior leadership, conducting risk-based assessments, and driving continuous improvement in compliance and safety programs. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and several years of EHS experience are required, with preferred certifications like

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment; seven+ years preferred with audits, incidents, corrective actions and management systems.
• Experience independently managing an EHS program or as primary EHS owner strongly preferred.
• Experience engaging senior leadership, regulatory agencies and external auditors required.
• CSP, ASP, CHMM or equivalent certification preferred; ISO 14001/45001 auditor training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the EHS strategy, annual objectives, KPIs and improvement roadmap with risk-based priorities.
• Conduct routine facility and operational assessments to identify hazards, environmental impacts and compliance gaps.
• Develop, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures and controls for chemical safety, energy, machine safety and emergency response.
• Own ISO environmental and OH&S management systems, risk assessments, controls and reviews.
• Lead internal and external EHS audits; coordinate regulators, auditors and corporate support.
• Own corrective actions from identification through closure with accountability.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and share lessons learned across locations.
• Oversee EHS training requirements, records and verifications.
• Maintain safety data sheets, permits, inspections and regulatory reporting.
