The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is hiring a Budget Manager to lead budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role ensures responsible spending, accurate reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and experience with budget forecasting, with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to support sound financial decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in budget development or analysis, accounting, auditing, policy planning, procurement, contracts/grants management, project management, statistical analysis, or financial services.
• 6+ years in any field plus 4 years in budget development/analysis-related work.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years in budget-related experience.
• Advanced degree plus 3 years in budget-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages all components of budget execution.
• Develops and implements agency-wide budget monitoring tools.
• Exercises independent authority to recommend resources allocation for all departments of the agency.
• Ensure fiscal integrity, compliance with state and federal fiscal regulations, policy, OPB requirements and internal controls.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to support sound financial decision-making.
