State of Nebraska's Department of Economic Development is seeking an Economic Development Business Recruitment/Development Manager in Lincoln. Under administrative direction, you will develop and coordinate the department's business and workforce recruitment programs to attract enterprise, talent and investment.

You will form alliances with business executives, industry representatives, trade associations and government partners, and represent Nebraska at trade shows and conferences to promote

Qualifications

• Post high school coursework in business administration, economics, marketing or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, marketing, or related field.
• Plus 5-7 years experience in advanced sales, economic development and/or international marketing.
• Foreign language speaking abilities would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administration of various Department programs including planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising Department personnel.
• Formulate and implement industry and workforce recruitment efforts.
• Identifies, prospects, and successfully closes negotiations with businesses to relocate or expand in Nebraska.
• Represent the state and the Department at trade shows, economic development conferences, and other public events to promote the state and its recruitment efforts.
• Serve as a liaison with communities, businesses, workforce, and entrepreneurs regarding business development needs and economic development programs and services.
• All other duties assigned within the scope of the classification.
