Job summary

River Bend Food Bank in Davenport, IA seeks a Donor Relations Manager to lead a comprehensive donor relations strategy for an assigned portfolio. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations to secure support and increase retention.

You will collaborate with marketing for impact reporting, develop personalized major-donor stewardship plans, and ensure timely acknowledgment of gifts. Occasional travel and events support are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of donor relations or nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Proven success in managing donor portfolios and securing gifts.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Bloomerang).
• Travel throughout service area; occasional overnights may be required.
• Flexible hours for events and fundraising campaigns.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage donor retention, engagement, and recognition strategies.
• Own an assigned donor portfolio and cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships.
• Conduct prospect development to identify new donors and giving opportunities.
• Prioritize face-to-face engagement through visits and hosted experiences.
• Apply moves management to advance donors through giving cycles.
