Job summary

River Bend Food Bank in Davenport, IA seeks a Donor Relations Manager to lead a comprehensive donor relations strategy, cultivating individual donors, corporate partners and foundations to secure support and boost retention.

You will manage a donor portfolio, conduct moves management, coordinate stewardship, and partner with Marketing to share impact stories, all while traveling regionally to engage supporters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in nonprofit management, communications, business, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience.
• Proven success in managing donor portfolios and securing gifts.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Familiarity with donor management systems including Bloomerang.
• Passion for hunger relief and community service.

Responsibilities

• Own donor portfolio with strategies for retention, engagement, and recognition.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and foundations to secure support.
• Collaborate on donor appreciation events, tours, and impact reporting.
• Develop personalized stewardship plans for major donors and legacy gifts.
• Document activity in Bloomerang and analyze data to improve outcomes.
