Job summary

Riverlane in College Park, MD is seeking a senior business development professional to grow the company's relationships with the U.S. Department of Energy and DOE national laboratories.

You will manage capture efforts, craft proposals, and shape technical solutions that align Riverlane's quantum error correction capabilities with government mission priorities. Travel up to 30-40% and the ability to work independently across technical and commercial teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical background in quantum computing, physics, engineering or related field.
• Experience writing white papers, RFIs, proposals or grant applications for U.S. government customers.
• Experience building relationships with government customers, national labs or research organizations.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling solutions for government programs and mission-driven customers.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, shape and close DOE and DOE national lab opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with DOE lab leadership and industry partners.
• Lead capture activities for DOE programs, including white papers, RFIs, RFPs and grant proposals.
• Craft solutions aligning Riverlane’s capabilities with DOE mission priorities.
• Represent Riverlane’s technologies and product capabilities to government customers.
• Coordinate internal proposal inputs to ensure compliant submissions.
• Travel to DOE labs and partner sites as needed (up to 30–40%).
