Job summary

Lunar Outpost seeks a Business Development Engineer focused on U.S. DoD space programs to expand our national security capabilities.

You will operate at the intersection of engineering, customer engagement, proposal development, and capture management to win contracts with USSF, SDA, MDA, and related DoD organizations. You will help position spacecraft systems, autonomy software, and mission operations platforms for next‑generation national security space missions, representing Lunar Outpost at

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, systems engineering, CS, or related STEM field.
• 4+ years in DoD BD, capture, or proposal engineering.
• Experience supporting proposals for U.S. Government contracts.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS processes.
• Strong technical background in spacecraft systems or mission operations.
• Clear, compelling written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. Person eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture efforts and write proposals for DoD contracts.
• Analyze solicitations and translate requirements into compliant proposals.
• Develop win strategies aligned to mission needs.
• Build relationships with USSF, SDA, MDA, SSC and other DoD agencies.
• Shape opportunities by engaging DoD program offices.
• Track DoD space programs, budgets, and acquisition pathways.
• Coordinate across engineering, program management, and BD.
• Drive disciplined capture processes and color-team reviews.
• Identify adjacent markets and growth opportunities.
