Job summary

Lunar Outpost invites a Business Development Engineer to help shape the future of humanity's presence in space in a dynamic startup environment. You will be a true generalist, working in the lab, in front of customers, and writing proposals to advance capture opportunities for NASA, DoD, and industry partners.

Responsibilities include market research, tracking solicitations, leading proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to improve capture success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 3+ years in contract capture in the Aerospace/DoD field.
• Experience with the RFP process.
• Deep knowledge of the aerospace or technology industries and markets.
• Ability to independently develop skills to fill gaps in R&D program engineering.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research market and customers to inform business strategy.
• Track solicitations, total value, submission requirements, and key customers.
• Lead capture efforts including writing proposals and submitting bids to NASA, DoD, and partners.
• Collaborate with partners and internal personnel to improve capture success.
• Evaluate and improve business development processes to increase success.
• Attend conferences and workshops to socialize new business concepts with potential customers.
• Perform end-to-end engineering work for small R&D programs related to capture efforts.
