Job summary

CulinArt Sector is hiring a Divisional Operations Controller to oversee all accounting and control functions for the Stony Brook University food service account in New York. You will handle revenue/expense reporting, AP/AR, and monthly financial reporting per policy.

You will provide strategic financial support to operations, analyze results for senior leadership, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements and compliance with the closing schedule and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Seven+ years business experience in similar position
• Microsoft Excel & Access application development experience helpful
• Powerful communication and presentation skills
• Microsoft Office, Strong Access experience, SAP GL, SAP Payroll
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Receives and ensures accuracy of end to end management of the finance function at the account
• Provides strategic financial support to the operations to maximize revenue and contain costs
• Analyzes financial results to assist VP of Operations and Corporate Team
• Ensures compliance with the management agreement and GAAP
• Maintains effective system and control procedures
• Prepares financial statements per closing schedule and company policies
• Ensures timely invoicing and manages AP/AR
• Prepares timely sales and occupancy tax returns and external reports
• Ensures integrity of computerized data processing functions
• Submits budgets and forecasts and analyzes variances for improvements
• Reviews forecasts and budgets to guide performance expectations
