Job summary

Applitrack in Allentown, PA seeks a Chief Financial Officer to oversee district-wide financial affairs, budgeting, and procurement. The role requires strong leadership and deep knowledge of public school accounting.

The CFO will manage cash flow, debt service, audits and tax reporting, work closely with Human Resources and Facilities, and ensure fiscal accountability while optimizing the use of resources across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, accounting or related field.
• Evidence of school and/or business leadership experience.
• Executive Core Qualifications, including ability to lead change and people, meet district goals with focus on results.

Responsibilities

• Supervises system-wide business affairs, fiscal management, tax collection, procurement, budgetary development and related support functions.
• Manages debt service and capital fund management; long-range capital improvement programs; short-term debt management.
• Implements the financial accounting system and translates the district budget into a business office accounting system; prepares annual financial reports.
• Oversees payroll, purchasing, insurance, and risk management; ensures adherence to policies and regulations.
• Provides financial data for state and federal grants; collaborates with departments to maximize resource use.
