Job summary

Reading School District is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the District’s financial and business operations. The role reports to the Superintendent and supervises Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, and related functions.

Ideal candidates will hold an MBA or CPA with five years of finance leadership in public education, strong GAAP/GASB knowledge, and experience with ERP systems and reporting to the Board.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or CPA licensure.
• CPA licensure or PCSBA certification preferred.
• Five years of progressive experience in finance or business office administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the District's financial operations.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow, and investment management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB and legislative requirements.
• Lead supervision of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and risk management.
