Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School seeks a Director for Texas Child Mental Health Programs to provide strategic and operational leadership across a growing portfolio of child and adolescent behavioral health initiatives statewide.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations and Strategy, you will oversee clinical, educational, research, and workforce development programs, build partnerships, and expand access to high-quality services across Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for a portfolio of complex child and adolescent behavioral health programs.
• Establish program priorities aligned with the mission, requirements, funding commitments, and statewide behavioral health objectives.
• Lead continued development and expansion of statewide initiatives including TCHATT, CPAN, CPWE, fellowship programs, and research networks.
• Oversee clinical, educational, research, and workforce development portfolios with adequate capacity to meet objectives.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering accountability, collaboration and professional growth.
• Partner with clinical and academic leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding to ensure sufficient expertise and resources.
• Build and sustain relationships with healthcare systems, educational institutions, government agencies and other partners for statewide program implementation.
