Job summary

Applewild School in Fitchburg, MA seeks an Executive Director of Auxiliary Programs & Summer Camps to lead the creation of new year-round and summer offerings, driving enrollment and revenue while partnering with faculty and the Head of School.

You will oversee program development, marketing, budgeting, and staffing for summer and year-round activities, with onsite housing possible for selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years leading residential camps, youth programs, or independent school auxiliary programs.
• Demonstrated success building, launching, or growing programs or camps.
• Proven experience managing budgets and achieving ambitious financial goals.
• Strong marketing, enrollment, and business development experience.
• Experience using camp management platforms, CRM, registration, and business management software.
• Familiarity with American Camp Association standards is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to navigate a hilly campus and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for Applewild's auxiliary enterprise.
• Identify, evaluate, and launch new lines of business leveraging campus assets.
• Research market trends and conduct analyses for high-demand programs.
• Create educational, athletic, recreational, and community programming to attract enrollment and revenue.
• Develop and manage partnerships with external organizations.
• Expand offerings to maximize year-round campus utilization.
• Manage programs: summer day/ residential camps, athletic camps, enrichment programs, school breaks, facility rentals, conferences, Horizons at Applewild.
