Frankfurt-Short-Bruza Associates, P.C. in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Director of Structural Engineering to lead the structural department on-site.

This full-time role emphasizes people leadership, department operations, financial performance, and project delivery within a multidisciplinary firm. You will mentor engineers and managers, set standards, coordinate with architectural and market leaders, and drive high-quality, profitable project execution.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain OK registration within 6 months.
• 10+ years structural engineering experience, incl. 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in an AEC or multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop structural engineering managers and department leaders.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, retention, workforce planning, and staff development.
• Establish and improve department standards, workflows, and QA processes.
• Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, staffing, and profitability.
• Drive profitability, utilization, backlog, and revenue forecasting.
• Represent and align the structural department with firm leadership and cross‑functional teams.
