Job summary

FSB Architects + Engineers is seeking an experienced Director of Structural Engineering to lead Oklahoma City’s structural department. This on‑site role focuses on people leadership, department operations, project delivery, and financial performance within a multidisciplinary firm.

You will mentor managers, oversee staffing and workload, and align resources with firmwide priorities while enhancing collaboration across offices and market sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain Oklahoma registration within 6 months.
• 10+ years progressive structural engineering experience including at least 5 years of leadership.
• Experience in an AEC/multidisciplinary environment and in department operations, workforce planning, and financial performance.
• Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering managers and department leaders, guiding performance and culture.
• Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and resource allocation for projects.
• Drive project delivery, QA/QC, client satisfaction, and profitability of the department.
• Collaborate with architectural studios, other engineering departments, and market sectors.
• Provide executive-level insight into department performance and strategic initiatives.
