Job summary

SEAKR Engineering in Centennial, CO seeks a Director of Business Development to lead strategy, drive growth in space markets, and manage a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in aerospace business development, a technical background, and ability to secure government and commercial contracts. This full-time exempt role collaborates with executives to shape future offerings and company direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; emphasis in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Program Management, or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies with short-, mid-, and long-term goals.
• Drive revenue growth through market opportunity evaluation, value proposition, and pricing strategy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government, defense, aerospace, and commercial space customers.
• Lead and coach the Business Development team; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and capture teams to align BD with company goals.
• Identify new opportunities and develop capture strategies to support bid decisions.
• Oversee policy compliance and travel/expense management; travel 30–50% as needed.
