Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Elkton, VA seeks the Director, IPT Leader, Pharm Ops to lead the Integrated Process Team for a new small-molecule manufacturing facility. You will shape operating model, drive site readiness, and align with divisional strategies.

You will oversee safety, quality, process improvements, budgeting, and talent development, building a high-performance team and ensuring right-first-time delivery for patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific/technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech regulated manufacturing environments.
• Leadership experience in Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Quality Operations, Engineering, or Production Planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Leadership Team alignment of IPT priorities with site and company strategy.
• Develop future-state operating model and ramp-up plans for Pharm Ops Elkton.
• Ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and right-first-time pharma operations.
• Oversee budget planning and identify productivity and cost-improvement opportunities.
• Promote quality culture, regulatory readiness, and safety across IPT teams.
• Coach and develop leaders and contributors to build a high-performing organization.
