Job summary

Delta Health in Colorado is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to lead the perioperative continuum, including ORs, PACU, Endoscopy, and Central Sterile Processing. Reporting to the CEO, this role drives clinical quality, patient safety, and operational performance across departments.

The candidate will have a BSN, an active Colorado RN license, 5+ years in PACU/Surgery/Endoscopy, and 3+ years of leadership. ACLS required within 6 months; IS-100/IS-700 completed within 30 days.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution.
• Current Colorado RN license or eligibility before employment.
• Minimum 5 years in PACU, Surgery, and/or Endoscopy.
• Minimum 3 years of formal leadership or management experience.
• BLS certification on hire; ACLS within 6 months.
• IS-100 and IS-700 courses within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for Surgical Services (Surgery, PACU, Endoscopy, Central Sterile Processing).
• Develop goals, monitor performance, and implement initiatives to improve access, workflow, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, supplies, equipment, and capital needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and leaders to support quality care and efficient operations.
• Monitor outcomes, safety events, patient experience, and lead improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regulatory readiness and staff preparedness for emergencies.
• Recruit, supervise, evaluate, develop staff, and manage scheduling.
• Communicate goals and needs to executives and participate in committees.
• Stay current on perioperative practices and trends.
