Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Director of Contract Compliance to lead PBM and MFP rebate programs in the U.S. This role oversees complex rebate processes, vendor relationships, and performance reporting while ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with senior leadership.

The position requires a strategic leader who collaborates with Legal, Finance, and Payer Sales, develops innovative solutions, and builds a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Value & Access, financial strategy development, or a related commercial function within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
• Minimum five (5) years of managerial experience, including direct management of teams and leadership of cross-functional projects or programs.
• Eight-plus (8+) years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, with a focus on strategy development, compliance, and leadership in Value and Access or related commercial functions.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Expertise in U.S. payer, managed care, gross-to-net, and 340B programs.
• Proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to address strategic challenges.
• Deep knowledge of Managed Markets, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional strategic planning and analytical skills, with a track record of leading large-scale projects with significant financial impact.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Provide direction for Contract Compliance, oversee PBM, Part D and MFP rebates, and manage 100+ contracts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Legal, Finance, Payer Sales, and Contract Development to ensure alignment.
• Program Development and Innovation: Design tools to track contract and MFP performance and drive data-driven decisions.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of five professionals and foster a culture of excellence.
